England Bring Back Saka While Bellingham, Foden & Grealish Miss Out

The national side have called up the Arsenal winger for next week's games against Wales and Latvia, however no room for Bellingham, Foden or Grealish.

Arsenal forward Saka was absent from the previous qualifier successes over Andorra and Serbia due to a muscle problem.

Saka made a comeback for his club and found the net in their 2-0 win against the Greek side on Wednesday.

The England international replaces club colleague Madueke, who is sidelined till next month because of a knee problem.

The Three Lions meet the Welsh in a warm-up match at the national stadium on Thursday before a World Cup qualifier in Latvia on October 14.

Should England triumph against Latvia, they will need a just two more points from their last two qualifiers versus Albania and Serbia in the next month to qualify for the World Cup in North America.

Bayer Leverkusen defender Quansah replaces Newcastle's Tino Livramento, who is sidelined for two months following sustaining a knee issue against the Gunners recently.

Elliot Anderson and Spence, who received their maiden national team selections previously, retain their places. Ruben Loftus-Cheek also remains in the squad, even with the recovery of Adam Wharton.

The attacker has featured in just one game for Tuchel since he became national team boss, because of fitness and hamstring injuries.

Bellingham missed the last England international camp as he recovered from a shoulder operation and has managed just a single start for his club since returning from injury.

Foden was left out from Tuchel's last England squad after a loss of form and has been unable to force his way back, even with a impressive beginning to the season with Manchester City.

Grealish also is excluded in spite of a resurgence on loan at Everton. He has not played for England since October 2024.

Jude Bellingham's exclusion may raise some eyebrows but Tuchel believes there is no need to recall the Madrid midfielder.
